IP PA for smart city bus rapid transit (BRT) corridor with automated stop announcements?
Industry: smart city | Architecture: IP
BRT systems need automated, real-time passenger information integrated with the central control system. The BNA 9000-i125-HA IP server at the BRT control center connects to bus tracking software, automatically triggering multilingual arrival announcements as buses approach each station. BNA IP-H15-POE horn speakers at each BRT station shelter broadcast these announcements clearly above street noise. BNA 9200 IP field call stations at select BRT stations allow station staff to page the control center for operational issues. The BNA IP-GSM-G4 enables emergency route diversion announcements to be broadcast across all 30 stations simultaneously from a mobile phone. Stations without fiber connectivity use 4G routers to maintain IP connectivity for the PoE speakers, with the GSM interface as backup.
